The author of two short story collections, ‘Choices’ and ‘If We Were Lebanese’, and seven novels, The Company of a Daughter, A Year to Learn a Woman, Hunting Blind, Traces of Red, Cross Fingers, Swimming in the Dark and Through the Lonesome Dark, Dunedin-based Paddy Richardson has been awarded four Creative NZ Awards, the University of Otago Burns Fellowship, Beatson Fellowship, James Wallace Arts Trust Residency Award and the 2019 Randell Cottage Writer in Residency.
“I’ve moved away from crime,” Paddy says. “I’m currently researching and writing a new book and I’ll discuss this project at Wairarapa Word.”
