For 55 years, Wairarapa Bride of the Year has been a mainstay in the events calendar in the region. The event returns to the Wairarapa Events Centre for 2025, where brides who were married between 1 July and 30 June and were married in the Wairarapa, and/or have lived or are living in the Wairarapa, and/or whose spouse has lived in the Wairarapa, will get the chance to relive the magic of their big day, donning their gowns again, all while raising much needed funds for Te Awhina Plunket Wairarapa.
This event is unique in its focus on Wairarapa’s flourishing wedding industry. It is a great opportunity for couples planning their own weddings to look for inspiration from other local couples, for friends and families of brides to reminisce on the weddings. It is also an excellent opportunity to support Wairarapa Plunket and the service they provide to our community.
In 2024, the funds raised through Bride of the Year went towards purchasing equipment for use for Plunket rooms across Wairarapa along with purchase .
A ticket to Bride of the Year provides you with a night of glamour and celebration of love, all while supporting Wairarapa Plunket and the service they provide to our community.
