Learn how to capture the night sky in this hands-on Astrophotography Workshop, part of Carterton Space Week 2025. Hosted in the historic Courthouse, the evening will feature local and guest astrophotographers, including Sam Leske and Haritina Mogoșanu, with more experts to be announced.
You’ll be guided through the basics of photographing stars, planets, and deep-sky wonders — from camera settings and lenses to composition and editing. If you have a DSLR or mirrorless camera, bring it along for practical tips; if not, come to be inspired and learn how astrophotographers transform the dark Wairarapa skies into works of art.
